I was born in 1982 in Trinidad and spent the first 7 years of my childhood in Maracas Valley. My family moved to Barbados for four years and moved to Port of Spain when we moved back to Trinidad in 1993. I started taking art lesions while living in Barbados and I continued to paint and draw throughout primary and secondary school. After graduating from Maple Leaf International School in 2000, I enrolled at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Canada. Although I majored in painting and drawing, I spent much of my 3rd and 4th year working in ceramics. In 2004 I returned to Trinidad having not completed my OCAD degree and worked for a year and a half before enrolling at the University of the West Indies. I am currently trying to complete a BA in visual art while running a ceramic studio out of my home. |
